SPCA CHARITY FOOD FAIR
The Charity Food Fair is the first fundraiser event for the Building Fund Project.
The Charity Food Fair will be held at the Sungai Dua Silver Jubilee Hall, Jalan Sungai Dua, Penang on Sunday 28th September, 2008. Time: 10 a.m. till 3 p.m.
A wide variety of food stalls would be needed and we are appealing for support as follows:
• Adoption of various hawker stalls at RM800 per stall and above
• Setting up of a self running food stall
• Donations in cash. All cash donations are tax-exempt
• Purchase of food fair tickets. It is available at RM10 per book.
• Volunteer your services to promote our fundraising projects

As part of our website expansion plan, we will also be featuring
animals available for fostering on our website
starting this year.
SPCA Penang are always in need of volunteers to help foster young healthy puppies and kittens that are
below 8 weeks. If you wish to help foster young animals for a short
period till they are ready to be vaccinated and re-homed, please contact us.

TRAINING
SPCA is pleased to work

adopted from SPCA. Persatuan Agiliti Anjing PP is giving 50%

RECONSTRUCTION OF CATTERY SPONSORSHIP

GARAGE SALE
As part of the ongoing effort to raise fund, SPCA has put up some
items for sale. Such items are either being donated generously by members or/and associates or just some office
equipment the society would like to clear. Items are being put up on sale. Look out for these items when you pay a visit to SPCA.
JOB VACANCY - General worker with driving license
We
are looking for a general worker. Candidate must be able to handle animals and
also liking for animals. Minimum Form 5 qualification. Possess driving license.
Starting salary RM900. Must be prepared to spend a few days at the SPCA to
familiarise yourself with the nature of the job. Contact the SPCA office

PET TRANSPORT SERVICE
SPCA Penang does provide transport to pet owners who need to send their pets to the veterinary clinic
for vaccinations and treatment. A nominal fee is chargeable. The fee goes to the maintenance of the Society's
van as well as expenses. Call SPCA for more information.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
The Society
wish to remind members to renew their membership. Your contribution will
indeed help us carry on and provide whatever needed for the animals in the
state.
SPCA YOUTH DIVISION
SPCA Penang has started a Youth Division Group headed by Mr John
Shebat de Silva. We are indeed trying our best to spread our wings to
the youth of ages 13 to 25, to get them involve with animal welfare. We
also hope to be able to stretch this concept to schools and other institutions of higher

Do look out for the featured
article on a weekly basis. We have many dogs and cats for adoption. They are vaccinated, deflead and dewormed.
Some that are of age are also neutered. Do visit us during our
kennel visiting hours or browse through our
Adoption page.
APPEAL FOR DONATIONS
SPCA Penang animal population at the Shelter is at its full capacity and is
never low. Our expenditure is ever increasing. We need funds to help us
carry out our activities be it in education, outdoor work in
rescuing/picking animals in ditches and/or providing shelter to
abandoned/unwanted animals. Any donations, be it in the form of food, in
kind or in cash is always appreciated. Donations sent by cheque/money
order should be addressed to ‘Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals, Penang.
